Custom Resume Design

Create one branded PDF for each Indeed job.

This optional feature uses your own OpenAI API and ScreenshotOne accounts. The credentials are separate. Turn the feature off whenever you want Indeed to keep using your regular resume.

Two resume modes

Beginner resume starts without OpenAI or ScreenshotOne. Unique AI resume checks your saved OpenAI key, uses ScreenshotOne when enabled, generates a job-specific PDF, previews it, confirms it is below 1.9 MB, then uploads it at the Indeed resume step.

Billing and file safety

OpenAI bills your API account for text input, reference-image input, and generated-image output tokens. The exact total changes with the prompt, images, dimensions, quality, and returned token usage. Alomar Apply shows an estimate from the usage returned by the API; it does not add a markup.

The artwork remains 1980 × 5000 pixels. Progressive JPEG compression keeps the PDF below 1.9 MB. If the safety check fails, nothing is uploaded.

ScreenshotOne usage is shown separately. The extension enforces a local 100-screenshot monthly safety limit, checks provider usage when you test or capture, and starts a new local counter on the first day of each month. Your ScreenshotOne subscription controls final billing and allowance.

Optional OpenAI web search adds a separate Responses API request before image generation. It is used only for concise, verifiable company details and may add OpenAI usage charges.

Safe setup

  1. Open Custom resume design in the extension.
  2. Paste your OpenAI key in its field. Paste the different ScreenshotOne access and secret keys in their own fields.
  3. Enable full-page capture and optional web search, then press Save / Enter. The animated confirmation appears and the popup refreshes once.
  4. Press both test buttons. No secret values are displayed in status messages.
  5. Paste the company homepage URL and capture it. Confirm the company shown before starting the Indeed application.

Keys remain in this Chrome profile and are excluded from gallery files, website synchronization, analytics, feedback, and generated PDFs. Because installed extension code can be inspected by the device owner, a hosted signing proxy is recommended before distributing a shared ScreenshotOne secret to other users.

v0.26.19 API troubleshooting log

Unique AI resume now writes each long step to the Data log: Indeed company-page lookup, ScreenshotOne capture, OpenAI web research, OpenAI image generation, elapsed time, and any provider error. If the on-page popup moves or closes, open Data log / unanswered questions and click Copy log or Download log JSON.

Update the existing extension folder, reload the extension, then refresh Indeed and LinkedIn tabs. Choose Unique AI resume and press Start. The assistant copies the Indeed job details, opens the Indeed company profile to find the Website link, captures that site when ScreenshotOne is enabled, then generates and uploads the custom PDF at the resume step. It must see the generated filename before continuing.

The countdown is an estimate while providers talk to each other. Long OpenAI and ScreenshotOne waits are now logged with elapsed time. If an API fails, open Data log / unanswered questions and copy the troubleshooting log.
